My name is Owen and I live in Sheffield. I recently graduated from Manchester University where I studied Computer Science. My life with computers started at an early age when I started messing around with a ZX Spectrum. Since then both computers and myself have come a long way and so I am now able to run this website.
Computing
I have programmed in a variety of languages from pretty standard languages (C, C++, C#, Java) through scripting languages (Perl, Python, Ruby) and sometimes into more obscure/interesting langauges such as my current favourite, Haskell.
My main interests are in programming languages and I have written my own interpreters for a few simple ones. Aside from programming, I’ve had some experience with hardware design at university, both schematic design and Verilog.
Other Interests
When I’m not at a computer I can often be found playing the guitar, cooking delicious meals or occasionally climbing.
